The Majidbaria mosque:
Majidbaria Mosjid (Majidbaria Mosjid) of Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali is one of the most ancient Muslim architectural patterns in the southern part of the country. The Shahi Mosque, established 500 years ago during the reign of the Sultanate, is still reminiscent of Muslim architecture and heritage. The area has been named after this mosque. Later, a UP chairman named Majid was reported to have named the union Majidbaria instead of the mosque.
According to various sources, Ruknadin Barabak was an independent sultan of the Elias Shahi clan. He was the ruler of the largest Bengal from 7 to 8. Amarkirti under his rule was built in the 5th, the historic mosque in the southern part of the country. And an artist named Uziyal Khan built the mosque.
The mosque has three magnificent arched mehrabs, three arched paths to the east, and a pillar with eight arched minarets. A porch mosque has two windows to the east and north and south. Due to the prolonged renovation, the existence of door-to-door blankets and pillars has reached its end. The mosque, with a large dome, was constructed with lime-stone and terracotta bricks without any rod-cement. The walls of the mosque are about 4 inches full. At the base of the mosque are the oldest artifacts of Muslim architectural art. Without seeing it, it is impossible to understand its true beauty.
It is believed that the mosque has become obsolete due to the absence of long settlement in the remote area. The forest is surrounded by a haunted area. When the forests were cleared to survey the land in 7, the mosque came to the notice of the people. Creates curiosity among people. Some think it was created in God's special position. Someone again said that it was rising from the ground to the very position of Allah.
The mosque is currently under the Department of Archeology. However, the beauty of the mosque has been lost due to the lack of renovation for a long time. If you do not take the initiative of rapid reform, the rest will be over in a few days. Therefore, the locals demand that the government will look into the history of Muslim rule, contribution of Muslims and historical patterns to the next generation through rapid renovation of the mosque.
