Patuakhali University of Science and Technology (Patuakhali Bighan o Projukti Bishwabidyalay) is a higher education institution in Bangladesh. It is located in Patuakhali district of Barisal division of the country. Established in 2002, it is one of the most newly established universities in the country.
Patuakhali Science and Technology University is located at Dumki Upazila Sadar, 5 km east of Patuakhali Science and Technology University Square in Lebukhali on the Patuakhali-Barisal Highway. Patuakhali Agricultural College was first established 5 km north of the district headquarters; It started affiliation with Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh as a private agricultural college at the graduation level in the course of 3-6 years. On July 7, the then Prime Minister inaugurated the Agricultural College as a global university. The Patuakhali Agricultural University was abolished in the Parliament on July 12, and the 'Law of the University of Patuakhali Science and Technology' was passed. Initially, Tk 5 crore was allocated for infrastructure development.
 
Campus:
 
A 12-acre university campus; Of these, the main campus is on 5 acres and on the far side is a large agricultural research farm on 5 acres of land. There is a long tree-lined lake in front of the main campus's academic building. There is a male and female hustle of sophisticated designs in the northwest of the campus. The mosque is located on the way from the academic building to the hostel. Next to the mosque is the university's health center and on the opposite side is the library building. A wide road connects the Patuakhali-Boufal highway to the west from Pirtola on the east. On the south side of the road is the residential quarter of the teachers and officials, and to the south of it is the 'creative creative school', a primary-secondary level private educational institution. To the east of the main campus is Pirtola Port, an agricultural research farm established on 5 acres of land in Perulei. The university has an out campus; Since Barisal Veterinary College is an affiliated college of this university, it is considered as an extra campus. The university plans to set up three separate faculties, including the Fisheries Faculty, Marine Science and Forestry Sciences in Seaside, Kuakata.
 
The university's education program begins with four faculties; The faculties are: Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Business Administration and Management, Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering and Barisal Government Veterinary College (recognized as affiliated faculty). Twenty-two students in the Faculty of Agriculture and 5 in BBA and CSE get admission in each session. A new faculty, called Land Management and Administration, was introduced in 20-6 sessions.
 
This university has the American Course Credit System system in place. In this semester education system, the course ends on time so there is no session. The semester ends with eight semesters. In addition, English was introduced as the medium of agricultural education at the undergraduate level in the first of these universities. There are 6 rich laboratories or laboratories for hand-to-hand teaching, which are currently in void. There is also a large central laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment waiting to be started. There are four exhibition farms for technology transfer at the farmer level. A 7-day internship is mandatory for students in the last semester of the university; The main goal of this internship is to work hand-in-hand with local farmers. The main goal of the internship is to develop modern technology in agriculture by combining the available knowledge of the interns with the experience of the farmers; As a result, local farmers are getting the opportunity to be motivated by the use of modern technology in the field of agriculture instead of the agricultural system of the Manda period.

In this residential hall, about 20 students get the opportunity to stay. After admission, every student has the opportunity to stay in the Orientation class from the day of class. An annex building has been constructed for the Masters.
 
Library:
 
The university has a central library. The two-story library building contains more than 20,000 different types of academic books, volumes, periodicals. Inside this library is Mujib Karna; Where we have about 3 books on the subject of the War of Liberation. Here the students of the university can come for the purpose of study and can study diligently. Internet access is provided at the cyber center here.
 
Cultural activities
 
There are five cultural organizations, including luminaries, angular bands, courses. Monthly, quarterly, quarterly wall magazines were extracted to organize the curriculum. Also on recent issues is a debate competition.
