Distance from the capital Dhaka to Patuakhali by road is 6 km. Landways and waterways can be accessed at Patuakhali. The following are the basic information about the arrival of Patuakhali in two ways:
 
 
Roadways: From Gabtali and Sayedabad in Dhaka, one can travel to Patuakhali by bus. The two routes are Dhaka-Mawa-Barisal-Patuakhali and the other is Dhaka-Aricha-Barisal-Patuakhali. Rent between 1 and 5 bucks.
 
 
On the way to the river: The most comfortable and least expensive one is to go from Dhaka to Patuakhali. General passenger fare at launch is 3-5 rupees and luxury cabin fare is 3 rupees.
